Married December 15, 1962 to Phyllis (Keener) Stewart
Children: Dr. Christopher Stewart & Dawn Stewart, both of Charlottesville, VA

Elider DiPaula

Pianist & Organist Extraordinaire

Élider DiPaula is a classically trained pianist, composer, and teacher. He began studying piano at the age of six in his native country of Brazil. Élider studied at Escola de Música de Anápolis and was invited to join the music faculty after completing his conservatory diploma. While working on his bachelor’s degree at Universidade Federal de Goiás, he studied for a semester at Marshall University in West Virginia. After his time at Marshall, Élider accepted a teaching position at Centro de Educação Profissional em Artes Basileu França, the largest conservatory in Central Brazil, while he also maintained a private studio in Goiânia. Élider is currently completing his graduate studies in piano performance at James Madison University. Upon completion of his master’s degree, Élider plans to continue his education in the United States by pursuing a doctoral degree in music.
